Meet Martha
For Martha, owning a boutique isn't just a business-it's family tradition.
Inspired by her mother, who has owned Cotton Patch for more than 40years, and her great-grandparents whose legacy included the iconic Carson Pirie Scott department stores in Chicago, enterprenuership has always been woven into her story.
In early 2017, Martha brought that passion into her very own storefront, Pirie, creating a boutique where timeless style, genuine hospitality, and local connections come together. While opening her own store was both exciting and humbling, she knew she had the support of her family and her Lexington community every step of the way.
Martha has a way with fashion, but more importantly, she has a way with people. Whether it's helping customers find the perfect outfit, welcoming visitors exploring the Bluegrass, or brightening someones day with a little retail therapy, Martha believes shopping should always feel personal and intentional.
